After lunch, Gunther brought out two bulls eye targets made of paper. He pinned them up on pieces of plywood set in place for that purpose.
“Now little lady what you can do with that firearm you’re packing.” Darlene still didn’t know how she was going to handle it. She could try to shoot badly and have them laugh at her Finally she decided she would just be herself. Simpler that way. Gunther pointed out a line that was 50 feet from the targets. Darlene stood quietly.
She brought her gun up and shot four times, so fast it sounded like one long shot. In the target there appeared four little holes. They were placed so that all four could be covered by a silver dollar. Gunther stared at her work and began taking the targets down.
“Aren’t you going to shoot?"
“Lady on the best day of my life I couldn’t come close to what you just did. You must have some background to be able to shoot like that."
